Manifesting Joy
Manifesting Joy

Isaiah 9:6

6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;

   And the government will be upon His shoulder.

   And His name will be called

   Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,

   Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

There’s a song that we usually sing during this holiday season. It goes a little something like this:

Joy to the World, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

We don’t just need to sing this song we need to let it resonate in our spirit, that joy really has come and manifested itself thousands of years ago. It manifested itself in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. The interesting thing is, Isaiah is letting us know that Jesus would be more than what they expect. Isaiah was written 740 Years before the birth of Jesus. The prophet expected great things from Jesus before He arrived in the manger. This teaches us that we should have joy before we possess a thing. We have to be willing to manifest the joy of a King who is called; “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”.

Joy isn’t in things! Joy isn’t in a job. Joy isn’t in a house! Joy isn’t in even in a man or a woman. Joy is, knowing who you are in Christ and understand that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. The fact that Christ dwells in you as a believer should give you reason to hope and to Manifest Joy.
